Religious Education:
Key Dates:
September 18 (Catechetical Sunday) – Start of Classes
October 30 – Procession of Saints (come to 10AM Mass dressed as a Saint and process into Mass with Father and us – last year a few of our High School Teens lead the way and Greg was St Francis of Assisi…with the tonsure haircut)
Classes: Our religious education classes are from 11:30AM – 1PM on Sundays in the Education Building.
Notes:
- Please provide a copy of your youth’s Baptismal record (with notations if applicable) when you register.
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) begins again on September 22d.
Key Dates:
September 22: RCIA and Adult Bible and Catechism Studies resume
September 20: St Michael: Meet the Angel movie at Treasure Coast Mall Regal 16
Classes:
Our RCIA classes are Thursday night from 6-7:30PM in the Parish Hall.
Notes:
- We welcome anyone in the parish to attend these classes because catechesis is an ongoing, life-long process.
- Plus, the parishioners can get to know and support our RCIA candidates.
- See the bulletin for most up to date schedule.
Young Adults for those 18-30ish meets on Monday night from 6-8PM, usually in the Education Building and once a month at a local restaurant. Our events rotate through these areas: Learning, Movie, Jesus in Jensen (local restaurant), Planning and Relaxing.
High School Youth Group meets on Sunday night, from 6-8PM, in the Education Building. See the bulletin for upcoming evening themes and events, as well as when it is taking a night off. Our events rotate through these areas: Learning, Movie, Skill/Service, Planning and Relaxing.
Middle School Youth Group. We do not currently have a Middle School Youth Group but are happy to start one if a few parents are willing to volunteer. Contact Greg.
Prayer and PT (or Physical Training). The best ways to start your day are with prayer and fitness. We meet Monday to Friday at 6AM for Morning Prayer and the Office of Readings (from the Divine Office aka Liturgy of the Hours). After prayer, from 6:30-7:30AM, we go for a walk and say the Rosary.
We rotate linkup points to vary our routes. They are:
SMDP Church Parking Lot (near the Education Building)
Indian Riverside Park (near the Purple Heart Monument)
Jensen Beach Causeway (west side mooring docks)
Jensen Beach (parking lot near the Jensen Beach Park)
Winn Dixie (Jensen Beach)
--look for Greg’s silver Ford F150; he is there every morning (well, 99 of 100 or more)
